There were several varieties of Connie in 1972, so we need to see a picture and, better still, need to know what movement it has. If you are familiar with opening the back, you will see the number of the movement engraved on it; it'll be a three figure number. There's a longer number which is the serial number of the movement, but it's the three figure number we want. If you are worried about taking the back off, a watchmaker will quickly do it for you. Be aware that taking the back off and putting it back on may affect the waterproofing - ideally, a new seal should go in each time.
As regards parts, they should available from Omega via one of their authorised agents. The movement will be a good one - all Omega's were at that time. They were good solid products with good reliability, provided they weren't abused or damaged by water or leaking batteries, etc.
If the watch has not been serviced recently, I would suggest you have it done before it gets much more use.
Hope this helps. How nice to have an heirloom like this!
