This is a painful process but without this consequent step, Omega will dilute with other mid- and low-level brands like TAG Heuer, Ebel, Sinn and other brands. This might be a way too, but they didn't choose this way to go."
How about if Omega started focusing on quality again instead of reducing its outlet capacity?
In my opinion, Omega is merely trying to fix its image problems from the wrong end. Firstly and mostly, image is upheld by QUALITY. Omega can limit its outlets as much as it likes. If the company has to resort to such pathetic measures, it seems as if the more urgent quality issues remained unaddressed.
John, I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment. Fortunately, Omega isn't the only brand I admire, (its one of many brands I admire) so my chances of being completely disappointed by them is much smaller. I do hope, however, that you will not decide to leave this forum because of your disappointment with Omega. Your contributions have been extremely valuable, especially since Derek's demise.
