I am sure, that the Rolex master watchmaker of Rolex France will comment in favour of Rolex movements and not in favour of ETA-movements ;-).
-the 2892-a2 was never regarded as an exceptional or prestigious quality movement since its introduction since 1975:
Correct: Not exceptional. Not prestigious. But still very good quality. It's a thin, but high-quality movement derived from a former Eterna-movement. It has a long success-track and I like it very much. It has a story to tell.
-its etachron regulating system isn't the best regulating system:
Correct: It's not the best. But it's really good and proven. It doesn't have to be the best or the most exclusive, since it's not used in >20'000 USD-models and -brands.
-its ball bearing system isn't better than the samuel pellaton winding system and the jeweled pivot system found in the rolex calibres and older inhouse movements.
Correct: But it has its advantages compared to the Rolex pivot system like the Rolex also has advantages compared to the ETA (believe me or not).
-its build quality can't match the older cal 100x-101x-102x calibres:
This is a myth. Sure they can.
See, we almost agree in every aspect. We only disagree in our feelings, our likes and dislikes. However this is not measurable, George.
