Re: I never thought of this before...

:
: I live quite close to a large German City.

: There were 3 Omega dealers there. You can
: easily walk from any to all the others in
: about 2 mins.

: 2 of them were across the street from each
: other !

: One of these seems to have recently lost its AD
: Status, since they no longer carry Omegas. I
: have to admit of the 3 dealers, this one had
: the cheaper range of other watches ( Casio,
: Tag etc etc ) available & the other 2 ,
: whilst smaller, had a much better
: presentation & range of watches(
: Breitling, Rolex, JLC etc etc )

: I don't know if the delaer decided not to carry
: Omega anymore or if it was Omega who made
: the decision.

: It doesn't look like the "selective"
: reduction of Omega dealer has been limited
: to the USA.

: S.

You're absolutely right about this, Steve. I read on another forum about an Omega Boutique in the UK that opened a few doors down from an existing Omega AD. The AD was asked to remove all of the Omega ads from his display window so that he wouldn't be competing with the boutique. I guess we can't have Omega competing directly with Omega????????
