: Thank You!
: seen a few reports saying that the problems are
: fixed now?
There have been fewer reports of failures in recent months compared to earlier years, but the fact that failures are still being reported indicates that the problems have not been fully corrected.
: What is wrong with them? are they unreliable or
: poor at keeping time?
Reliability has been the key problem. Most of the failures have been related to chronograph malfunctions, such as failure to reset. The good news is that Omega is aware of the problems and will repair them even if the warranty has expired (at least that has been the case so far). The bad news is that you have to be without a watch for 6 weeks or more while your watch is being repaired, and numerous people have had to send their watches back multiple times before their watches were repaired properly.
: think I prefer the GMT at the moment, havent
: seen one in real life yet - my local dealer
: is getting one in at the moment.
These do seem to be relatively scarce here in the US for some reason. I suspect that it has to do with its $6300 price tag. Any AD will tell you they can order one for you, but very few seem to have them in stock (at least here in Orlando). I suppose it's easier to move a Planet Ocean that costs about half as much or a Seamaster that costs 1/3 as much.
: Any other views?
