Thanks so much for offering to help.

I have looked at your website and am so impressed with your diligence and generosity in providing such information on the web. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

The jeweler had to replace the crystal and to clean the watch in October, 2005, so I still have the receipt from that time. The only information he provided was that the watch was a Seamaster "gold tone", and this information was recorded by the clerk who took the watch, not the watch expert.

There is no other identifying information from the jeweler. She did call to give us the estimate for the work they would do and was passionate about what a treasure the watch is and how lucky we were to have it.

My uncle and mother have said that his father referred to it as a gold watch, and my grandfather always liked to buy the top end. Unfortunately, there is no proof that the watch is gold. My uncle and mother date the watch in the 1960s, but that is as close as I can get the date unfortunately.

We took the watch back in late April 2006 because there was a problem with the stem.

When the watch was my father's, he had a different jeweler that he would take it to when necessary, so I should probably check with him to see if he has any information. I doubt that he would have that information though, because my father died five years ago.

The catalog on your website from 1962 with the Seamasters and Seamaster De Villes has a watch that looks very similar to my grandfather's including the band.

: Omega changed their system around the start

: With these 3 numbers we may be able to find a
: picture or at least give you more details

: in eBay. there are literally thousands of
: Omegas in eBay. It is probably the best
: online database in the world now. Even if
: you don't use eBay to buy, it contains so
