It seems you have been arguing quite alot with yourself, but I can give you my experience as I choose the Speedmaster for the seamaster:
- I love to wind My speedmaster!
- I hate NOT to have date there...
- I hate to see the hesalite crystal getting scratched.
- I hate to leave my wathc with my clothes when on the beach, so I leave it at home instead.
- I actually bought a cheaper sportswatch for leisure activities.
My answer to the above: I will go buy myself an Ocean Planet one day anyway - so I can keep both watches! It takes some saving - but once crazy, just go for it!
Good luck with your choice - I think you will be both satisfied and still miss something whatever you choose :)
