Hi

I am not astonished because in the last threads you praised eta and were calling them superb movements when they aren't. You also like Hayek way of managing Omega which isn't the case of many people. Perhaps should I remember you that Matthew J was one of the biggest Omega basher till 2005 and then completely changed his attitude.

The watchmakers you know perhaps see 2892 from the 70's but fact is that their finish is average, the etachron is not the best accuracy regulating system and accuracy is not the best.

The 3135 is proven since 1988 and before it there was the 3035 which was also better than the eta 2892-a2 so what's your point?

The 3135 is an exceptional movement because it is produced since 1988 and hasn't got any major flaw and it wasn't made in three versions unlike the coaxial. Also the 1120 and 2500 are not inhouse because they are made by Eta for Omega which means they are subcontracted. And the 1120 has known sudden stops that was never the case of the 3135.A 5 year period isn't enough to judge of a movement reliability but 18 years are.
I believe in the saying "OLd tech is good tech" but not in unproven things or things with few or unexisting feedback.

just my two cents

regards

georges
