: Hi, Advice required.
: I have just traded in a Rolex Precision manual
: wind for an Omega Railmaster coaxial
: automatic. The problem is it keeps stopping.
: I have been wearing it for at least eight
: hours per day but it doesn't appear to be
: enough to keep it going and I am having to
: wind it manually. It seems to run down every
: forty hours or so regardless whether I wear
: it or not. Can this be right? I am thinking
: of buying a watch winder to solve the
: problem but I am a bit disappointed, I may
: as well have just bought a manual wind up in
: the first place. Any advice or suggestions
: would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the watch is not stopping, just running out when the power reserve limit is reached. Automatic watches generally need to be worn to be wound. It might be that your wrist movements are limited during the day so the watch is not winding very much. You can either wear it for several more hours a day, hand wind it in addition to wearing the watch, or buy a winder--but it sounds like the watch is working just fine.
