Here is my little story:

First it didn´t bother me to see some *very* small dust particles behind the crystal and at the dial. I had to look very close to see them. But then I discovered some bigger particles at the inner ring of the bezel. I thought if they would move some day from that ring away at the dial, I would see them every time I look at the otherwise perfect and beautilful watch.

This thought bothered me and as the service center for Omega Germany is only 20 miles away from my town, I brought them the watch to have it cleaned.

A few hours later I picked it up and immediately I discovered that the dust was gone but now fingerprints (again very small) where at the dial, together with an annoying "smear" at the inside of the crystal.

Back it went and after a few days, I piced it up again. Now most of the grease spots of the dial were gone, some *very* small were still left. The inside of the crystal was better, but not as new. Some small dust paricles were back either.

First I thought I could life with it, but it starts to get on me again. Funny thing was that I didn´t bother about the new dust particles any more, now the grease spots and crystal was my problem.

It is often difficult to decide whether someone is hyper sensitive to minor and normally aceptable flaws or if the customer has a real complaint.

After my little journey, I would have accepted the dust the first time, after what I know now. At the other hand, those fine watches (not only Omega) can´t do anything than look good, at least they should be made perfect (or close to perfection). If I receive a brand new watch back from a cleaning job and have (even though very small) grease spots on it, this is not acceptable for me.

Now the watch is at Omega for a third time. We´ll see...
