W/ an MSRP of $3,650.00 (US), the newest James Bond 007 Limited Series (a/k/a, "Casino Royale") Planet Ocean will be priced $350.00 higher than the standard P.O. on rubber strap. That's only $175.00 more to Omega SA, based on wholesale, using the 55% number kicked around here so much.
But then I got to thinking, for the AD, a Limited Series at least suggests a piece for which they can demand full price. And at only 5,007 pieces for the "Casino Royale," I'd guess that even more likely.
So-- the difference between, what? a 15 - 20% markup, and the full 45% (meaning $1,642.50).
Nice for the AD.
But how do you all think "investment" in the 2002 James Bond 007 LE played out for buyers? How is the current "James Bond" Seamaster LE selling? I was just in an AD here in Southeast Michigan and was told he still had 3 of the 5 he'd been alloted in stock. Of course, the movie hasn't come out and it's not Christmas yet.
