Personally, I thought it was excellent. I'm not sure that it's w/out downside, as referencing the competition can be "free advertising."
But, plot-wise, I thought the dialogue was both credible and nicely illustrated the point.
Not surprising, from director Martin Campbell, who seemed to like the line "boys with toys" in "Goldeneye." Now we have our expensive watches as a way to make up for inferiority complexes? And Omega owners are just as insecure in this regard as Rolex owners?
Okay. It made me laugh at myself. As you all know, I own both brands.
