It's On The "Die Another Day" Bonus DVD...

:
: I seem to remember "Q" handing him an
: Omega in one of the films, with a small
: explanation of it's functions, then saying
: something like "Here's you new watch,
: Bond. It's an Omega"... "And try
: not to loose this one, Bond"

: Does anyone out there have the DVD ?

: or is it on "You Tube" somewhere ?

: S.

Hi Steve,

John Cleese as "Q" narrates the bonus disc that comes with the Die Another Day DVD. On that disc is a menu where "Q" describes Bond's gadgets. He clearly refers to the watch as an "OH-MAY-GA" Seamaster Chronometer. The only dumb thing about that bonus disc is that it shows the watch's second hand moving in 1-second increments as though it were quartz (there's no sweeping second hand motion).

I agree with Common Man. "OH-MAY-GA" is the Greek pronunciation and that's the way everyone I've spoken to in the US pronounces it. We don't pronounce the Greek letter "beta" as "beet-uh", it's "bay-tuh".
