Out of the many posts that I've read, every one of them, except for one (which was on TZ's Rolex Forum) loved the film and ranked DC as 2nd to Connery, if not better. I didn't read any spoilers (I didn't want to) but I did get the impression that Casino Royale is definately more 'old-school.' Basically Bond gets down and dirty, showing no mercy.
I'll see it later this week (gotta get rid of those nasty mid-terms first), but if I were you Steve, I'd definiately go, even if I weren't a Bond fan.
