Never thought of that. I thought the crown would click even when the watch is not wound at all since I know I picked up a SMP that completely stopped because the entire power reserve is used up and wound it and it still made the clicking sound. While we're on the subject of watchwinders, are the Sharper Image winders any good? I noticed they sell the Steinhausen winders now as well.
