In Response To: Omega Case numbers ()

Hi Derek,

Good question !

Here are my sources of Info ( no particular order )

1, My own catalogues ( quite a few of which are on my website ) - the British ones are particularly useful, since they usually use the Case Ref # as item numbers in the catalogues. the American & German ones, unfortunatley don't refer to the Case Ref numbers in the catalogues :-(

2. OVI ( Omega Vintage Information ) this is available via the Omega Website. You will have to register for this service, but it is free.

3. Various book that I have...
Essential books are
a, Omega Saga
b, Various Japanese Speedmaster books
c, the "Japanese" Seamaster book
d, Omega Masters ( a new speedmaster/flightmaster book )
e, Omega dressing Catalogue ( the amount of useful info that this provides is limited though )
Ed Heliosz has a good list of books Here it's a little bit outdated, but a good start.

4, an electronic copy of the Omega Museum Catalogue that I have.

5, Various Internet sites. Obviously Chuck's rates very high here !, but JulesBorel & Ofrei are also very useful.

6, I also use Google a LOT.

7, for a while I saved pics from eBay where the auctions included a Case Ref number. I don't have an enormous collection, but it is sometimes useful.

8, The Ranfft website here has an amazing collection of Movement photos & Info.

After I've worked my way through that lot I'm usually to tired ( or brassed off ) to look any further.

Unfortunatley most of these sources don't have dimensions or weights, but sometimes I "stumble" across a picture.

What does anyone else use ?
