: Too funny. It's not really my style. And I
: don’t live in Australia, so I’ll have to
: pass and take your word for it. I have the
: new 300M Pro. If there were a 007 that I
: liked it would be the one in question;
: because its 007 related features are more to
: my taste. Not saying the new one is not
: tasteful: it’s just not me. It (the newest
: 007 limited ed.) has a lot of idiosyncratic
: features that don't appeal to me. Like the
: little 007 gun icon attached to, and thus
: rotating with, the base of the second hand.
: The swirl on the face is a nice touch,, but I
: think the references is too obscure for all
: but long time Bond fans to “get.” In any
: case, faking one certainly isn’t worth going
: to the slam for. Nothing I can do, other
: than notify eBay, about this one. If this
: were a U.S. only auction he'd be talking to
: a Postal Inspector Tuesday AM. My fiends to
: the south are not likely to ignore such a
: flagrant fraud as you've attested to here.
Have a look at the link below and you'll see what the real version looked like. Then have a look at the seller's pictures and you'll see why it's a fake. Look at the bezel, the crown guards, and the date window for starters.
I agree with you that this 2002 limited edition model was much more subdued than the 2006 model with the gun barrel "swirlies" on the dial. Every so often you see a genuine one pop up on ebay or on one of the watch forum sales forums. This model retailed for $2195 back in 2002 and was also limited to 10,007 pieces worldwide.
