I E-mailed the seller asking him/her NOT to end the auction early. The seller replied that they had already had a number of offers outside of eBay, 2 of which were very high.
I said I'd only Bid through eBay & my "snipe" offer was already set for auction end. I didn't disclose my offer, but lets just say you can buy a watch ( & not just the box ) for less than my offer.
The seller ended the auction early. I never disclosed my offer ( & won't ).
I have no Idea what the Box sold for. I have no Idea if my offer would have been high enough in a "fair" auction, but I refuse to get into bidding "Outside" eBay.
So the search continues....
