As I own a Submariner and have had two other Rolex watches and only through ownership have I decided that Rolex really isn't that great, and certainly not as great as their new prices would suggest...wheras Omega on the other hand is a much better deal with a better product...the only area in which they trail Rolex is status, and if that is important then sure Omega will be second fiddle for a while to come...but this being a watch enthusaist board one would hope the quality of the piece comes before that of the brand status.
