They don't have a great record as far as being waterproof goes. I know there are plenty of exceptions, but there are PLENTY of flooded speedies out there. That coupled with a plastic crystal that scratches easily, I'd avoid a Speedy.
The Bond Seamaster sounds like a good choice. You have a choice of various sizes, movements, Automatic or Quartz, parts will be available for donkeys years to come.
But if you know you're gonna be so hard on your watch, why not buy 2. A cheaper "Beater" & an Omega for the more "relaxing" times.
