Seamaster maintenance service

Hi,
I have a Seamaster that is due for service since it does not seem be as accurate as when I bought it. The warranty is long gone. My question is do I send to the Bienne for maintenance or can I go to my local Ben Bridge Jewelers (authorized Omega dealer) for the maintenance? I have read on this site that some say Bienne and others have recommended local dealers in the US. I could not find on this site if you should send it to Bienne only if under warranty or not. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated.
