: What are some of the differences between the Bond seamaster and the GMT model
In addition to the excellent comparison Jeff made:
+ The GMT bracelet has the classic Pro Diver links BUT has a hidden folding clasp. It makes the bracelet even dressier by looking contigious all the way around - except for a small piece with the Omega logo on it. I have heard no experiences with how reliable the clasp is on the GMT. It looked like it would be quite reliable.
+ The Pro Diver has the large folding clasp with hidden diver's expansion (as Jeff says, that piece is probably a wash, since few ever need the expansion). The Pro clasp is extremely reliable - in 18 months, I have NEVER had it pop open unexpectedly. The few comments about it not staying shut I believe were from people who had not realized that they had not shut the diver's expansion properly - that prevents the main clasp from closing fully.
