I just returned from a trip to the Bahamas with a new SMP Chrono. The watch is absolutely beatiful. This is my first foray into the world of auto watches. I briefly considered a Rolex Submariner, but I could not justify such a large expense. After some research on the various watch sites I felt that the SMP Chrono is in a similar league to the Rolex Sub. I did not want a Rolex wannabe or copy, so the SMP with its distinctive stylings (bracelet, blue dial and bezel, and skeleton hands) was perfect. This watch replaced a basic Tag SS that I had been wearing as a sport/casual watch for the past ten years. The buyer's guide section of this site was a tremendous help in teaching the basics of the watch (serial numbers, various markings, etc.) Thanks Derek. I look forward to wearing and enjoying this watch for a long time.
