Although a Brit, I live in Thailand. I got the watch through my watchsmith, as I have done with most of my vintage watches.
Forget about the fake reputation (which is justified I admit), there is also a huge premium watch culture here and the Thai's are very knowledagle collectors with an active trading market.
Luckily for me I have one of those old style watchsmith whose been around for many years and has a lot of old customers. He know's that I'm an Omega nut so always gives me a call when something special turns up. As well as this FIFA he's also supplied me with mint versions of the Flightmaster, Speedmaster 1045 and Chronostop 'Diver'.
It's a great, albeit expensive arrangement 8-)
Cheers
Andy
