Tell them to look up the meaning of "preventitive maintenance" in the dictionary.

While it is good advice to not unnecesarily open a water resistant watch, they should at least do a pressure test to make sure the water resistance seals are okay. If you expose it to water, such as by swimming or showering, you really should have it pressure tested yearly. Otherwise, you might be back in later for a more expensive repair!

You probably can go several years between routine servicing on a modern Omega, though I would recommend not going over 5 years.
