Yep.... That's correct. The apollo astronauts got to keep the Speedies up to the point when Buzz's Speedy got loss. There was a huge fuss and now ALL NASA Speedies are being returned to the agency (that includes those before Buzz's incident). I believe NASA is still trying to track down all of the apollo watches to this day. It's therefore known that Aldrin's Speedy was the 1st watch on the moon. "The Legend of the Lost Speedy" was born when that watch was lost. It's value is estimated to be over $5 million.

You know your history! The Speedmaster is more reiable than the LM's own clock! :-)
