Hi, Ben:
I am biased in my admiration for the GMT. It does NOT use the same deployant clasp as the SMP, rather uses one of the "vanishing" variety with an ingenious push button release. Very comfortable, but it won't expand over a wet suit, as will the SMP. It's a bit dressier than the SMP. I like the GMT hands, black dial with rectangular indicies, as I guess, Omega does, as they are now going to put the same dial on the SMP! But the GMT still has the second timezone feature, which is a plus for me.
