This is my first vintage Seamaster 300 and this ref. 165.024 has simply stunned me in the metal...
It has an utterly timeless tool watch design, much like the Speedy Pro, that holds up as well today as it did in the 1960s...
This example has what I believe to be the original bezel insert (hard to come by) and a beautifully textured matte dial to die for...
I think it may have been re-lumed, albeit quite well, which is usually not my bag...
...but in this case I can't say I care--these vintage SM dials are often beat to hell and this one looks near-NOS. And oh those gladiator hands!
Simply one of Omega's classic designs that wears as well today as it ever did...
...you can see why they resurrected the styling cues for the PO.
Excuse my zeal but I am blown away by the look and feel of this watch. It's a pity that high quality counterfeits have dampened enthusiasm for this great, great model. A genuine one is undoubtedly an undervalued treasure in today's overheated vintage watch market.
