Re: Vintage Seamaster question
In Response To: Vintage Seamaster question ()

Congratulations.

A chronometer, pie-pan Seamaster is particulary unusual and quite possibly rare.

The best thing to do would be to have a jeweler open it and write down the 8-digit serial number. Then send that number to Omega at watch@omega.ch. They can look it up and tell you the exact age and other good info on it.

But it sounds like you got a real special present!

Also, remember that although a watch was originally 'waterproof,' any vintage watch should be treated as a completely NOT water resistant. The old water protection seals have likely long since failed.
