: Is it possible to retro-fit new GMT style hands
: to a Bond style SMP (with the face design
: kept the same). Will Omega sanction this
: hybrid?
Possible, yes. Sanctioned, clearly not. Omega will not sanction or cooperate in making such a hybrid. They at most will allow swapping fixed parts if the resulting watch matches another existing model.
But then I wonder what is really the point of making a bastard hybrid--since bastardization costs money, yet *reduces* the value of the watch. If it is for your personal pleasure, then I guess that is okay.
But it seems somewhat inane to buy something expensive, then spend more money to alter it because you don't like it. I'd rather see people simply buy something else that is closer to what they want.
