: The background to this question is that I've
: been offered to buy a seamaster (2598:80:00)
: from a person here in Sweden.
I myself bought my in Sweden, though the Bond version. The price for the one you have is approx 20 KSEK minus some percentage off if you hagle...10% minimum, 20% at the most. Usually 13-14%.
: Since I don't know what is included in the
: "box", I figured that it could be
: a good thing to know :-). May I ask a few
: questions more? What is described in the
: booklet "Professional Diver"? Not
: knowing what is included in the warranty, do
: you know what happens with the warranty, if
: I buy my watch "second hand"? With
: other words is the warranty personal or is
: it general?
In the PD booklet, it just state some things you already now, like how to set the watch. Only 5 pages in English. The same for the instructions. Here are som good notes about that not setting the date between 20.00 - 02.00. The warranty is for a year. It is not personal. But, the insurance you have are. At least when you buy your name is stated there.
: By the way do you know if the cronograph works
: under water? Aren't the buttons for the
: cronograph screwed tight to the watch in
: order to keep it watertight which means that
: they can not be pushed?
I am not 100% sure, but almost. I have the Bond version. But, I think I've read it here on the Forum, that it does.
: Does the heliumvalve work automatically or do
: you have to unscrew it too in order to make
: it work?
No, you have to unscrew it. As stated here in this Forum, not too many people use it...Keep it locked!
