...be comfortable with. I went for the auto SMP Bond model. As for the service interval, the response Omega gave me was that autos should be serviced every 4 to 5 years. The water resistant seals should be checked every 1 to 2 years, depending on how much you will wear your watch in or around water.
The quartz will have to be opened every time you need a battery. Then it will have to be pressure tested to insure the integrity of the seals. Do you really want to have your watch opened just for a battery replacement?
