Nothing irks me more than my own indecision when staring a vintage watch in the face. I will change the crystal and see how it comes along from there.
As far as the strap issue...I also beleive that a vintage watch SHOULD be worn. However, I have a very clean 1039 bracelet with the correct endlinks and it pains me to scrape/scratch/stretch a clean vintage bracelet. Sort of an inverse logic compared to how I feel about the watch itself.
I'll keep you guys posted...pics to come.
