I have a Seamaster Titanium ( Electric Blue Dial ).
Thou it is softer than steel, minor scratches are
no problem, since you will be given a polishing
cloth by Omega( If you ask for it ). Microlon is
the name of the cloth.
I wear my SMP everyday for 7 months now. I obtain
small scratches, but this can be remove very
easily by the cloth. Now my watch still dont have
any scatches, even minor ones.
I believe heavy knocks will be a problem, since
it will create deep scratches. But I believe steel
will also be scratch in the same way, maybe just
a little bit shallower. The SMP titanium bezel
( the one with the numbers ) is made with polished
steel and it scratches very easily.
The weight should also be considered, you can try
the two models if you like to see which is more
comfortable to you.
I did not regret purchasing the SMP titanium
