: Awesome collection!! Do you still have all of
: the pieces?

Yup. I got the YG and RG models brand new in 1999, when they first came out. I wore the YG/silver dial quite often. However, I rarely wore the RG/midnight blue dial model, which I didn't like as much as the YG version. Most folks do seem to prefer the RG version, and I had thought about selling the RG (have had some offers years ago), but I decided just to keep it since it's sort of a "set." That's especially true since I found the PT model used (but complete w/boxes & papers) around 2003. I snapped it up. The PT model originally came with a brownish/copper dial that I thought was an unattractive color. It would've been great if it was a lighter color, but it was just too brown, and others who saw it agreed. I tried getting used to it for about a year, but I just never warmed up to it. But I really DID like the silver dial that came standard on the WG model (which I never owned). So I sourced a new silver dial and had my watchmaker swap it out for the copper/brown dial, which I still have as a spare part, of course. Ever since I did that, the PT has been my favorite by a longshot -- very much of a "stealth" watch -- as it looks like an unassuming, classic steel watch.

: Some collectors are concerned about the loss of
: one of the original movements (2500A) if
: they send their watches to Bienne.

Yeah, I wondered about that. Not sure how I'd feel if the movement was swapped. I just emailed a fellow who had this done, because I was curious if Omega would "reissue" the old SN (and destroy the 2500A movement), or if they'd simply install a new 2500C movement with newer, later SN. That'd matter to me.

: The 2500C/2828C is an odd bird with the 7 beats
: a second, slightly less smooth than 8 beats,
: but a better timekeeper.

: Got any more pics?

I didn't take any other decent pics of these 3 watches. But I just got a nice vintage Omega and will post pics right now. ;)

: Sam
