Can't remember if I posted this before, but I do have its fraternal twin, another cal 504 (this one expertly redialed, it seems):
Since I took those pics, I replaced the crown with a 10-sided Omega crown.
Now, here's something cool that lies at the nexus of serendipity and sleuthing . . . The person from whom I bought this watch included an old Internet sales listing (text-only description) from two owners prior to him. In other words, if I'm the child, the dealer who posted that original listing would be my great-grandfather. By Googling some key phrases in the text of that old ad, I was able to find great-grandfather's old listing of this very watch from years earlier, still online in a cache somewhere . . . with pics of what it looked like before it was redialed! Here's what it used to look like:
