What are you and what should you be wearing?

We are all familar with the the "wrist shot X-day" and "scan day" posts.

Here's one with a twist . . . .

Most of us have more than one watch. We choose the watch we are currently in love with or the one most appropriate for the day we expect to have.

But the best laid plans of mice and men, often go awry . . . . (saying is adapted from a line in “To a Mouse,” by Robert Burns: “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men / Gang aft a-gley.”)

Sometimes the watch you thought was best, wasn't.

So here's what I wore today

A 1968 Seamaster Chronometer, calibre 751, in 18k white gold on an 18k white gold expansion bracelet, and day in German.

But I had to go out in a torrential downpour, and the original 30 meter water resistance of a 40 year old watch troubled me somewhat.

This is what I should have worn . . .

A modern Deville coax chronometer, with 100 meter water resistance and similar presence on the wrist.
