which lined up the text but added carriage returns. It was late and after posting I went to bed. Been busy since, thanks for the edit . . . I was just too tired to do it.

I know what you mean. I know some Mac Tools which make short work of such tasks. Perhaps they have Window's equivilents?

This weekend I want to give some thought to how the tables should be laid out in a form that is intuitive . . . .

That'd be cool. Might be a good excuse to break open that packet and play around.
