Perhaps I can shed some light on this problem:
Firstly, the date can be adjusted forward to
compensate for oddities in the calendar. The
owners manual for your watch will explain the
procedure. The date mechanism in the SMP chrono
has no way of compensating for the different lengths of months. It just cycles through the
full 31 days it has and you must adjust it when
necessary. As for the rubber strap, I would have
to say the SMP chrono would be better on its
original bracelet, mainly because of its ample
size. That and the weight of the bracelet helps
counterbalance the weight of the case.
