Re: Not even a good fake! *sigh*

: While I cannot guarantee it is a fake, it sure
: has a number of things that look really
: wrong.

: As you point out, the clasp is REALLY wrong. No
: way Omega would make a clasp with their logo
: cut off on it! But that is TOO screwed up
: for a fake

Actually, I did think of that, after I posted the message. But I went back to the picture of the face again and although I know that Omega has changed things at times over the years, I don't remember seeing the Omega name on the bottom of the face, with Constellation and then Automatic directly below the logo. There appears to be something other than "Swiss Made" along the bottom of the watch - below the markers and a third line under Omega Chronometer, which I also cannot read.

Anyway, it's still up, so either eBay didn't pursue it or the Seller provided enough proof to keep it up.

BTW, yesterday I noticed that when bidding on a watch, an "alert" from eBay popped up! It said something to the effect that sellers posting, in their description, a disclaimer about not having a box or papers and thus can't verify the authenticity of a watch was no longer being tolerated!! Hmmm, maybe they have listened to some folks!

Thanks again for looking at it, Derek!

Shelley :)
