: Are there any options available other than the
: tachymetre one. And if yes, what kind and
: where do I get them ?

According to the booklet "Operating Instructions: Chronographs with Fixed Bezel" that comes with my newly received Speedmaster Day-Date in 18K red gold on leather strap, Omega Speedmaster has 4 bezel options: 1) tachemetric scale, used for timing average speed between evenly spaced distant units; 2) decimal scale, which devides a minute into 100 subunits, used in statistical analyses; 3) telemetric scale, used to time the speed of sound through the air; and 4) pulsometric scale, as Derek said, this one is used by doctors or nurses to read the number of impulses per minute without calculation. The booklet explains in 11 languages how these scales work but does not tell if they can be changed and, if so, where to obtain service.
