Get the auto...It has a soul.
Seriously, get the watch that makes you happiest. I prefer autos because I don't like the idea of having my watch opened just to change a battery. I also dislike the fact that quartz watches don't tick as well as the "hopping" second hand. I prefer the tick and the sweep.
Of course the quartz will be more accurate and it will cost less. The decision is yours.
