Derek,
I have actually tested the watch in all 6 positions before this and after and there was very little variance between positions. I am now wearing the Seamaster and it is still accelerating whilst being worn.
Could this be a result of magnetism? Maybe the watch became magnetised after coming into contact with the computer, swipe card reader, fridge or some other object? Thanks.
Regards,
Kelvin
: More likely the problem is simply the position
: the watch sits in while not worn. Because of
: effects of gravity, mechanical watches tend
: to run a little differently in different
: positions. Not a problem on a watch you
: wear, because it does not stay in the same
: position all the time like a stored watch
: does.
: The exact pattern varies on each individual
: watch. Try storing your unworn SMPC in a
: different positions, such as on one side or
: face down and see if it runs more accurately
: in one of these other positions.
