Notice: Forum Software Upgrade (Tues, Wed or Thur)

We wanted to let our readers and writers know that we will be installing a major software upgrade to all the Chronocentric forums, either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. During the installation (of five to seven hours), we will not be able to read or post messages to the Forums. Of course, we believe that all existing messages will be carried forward, during the upgrade. The purpose of this message is to suggest that if there are items that you need from the forums (e-mail addresses, images, messages, etc.), you should make a copy before the installation. We will try to provide another message when the timing of the installation is more definite, but this notice may be very short (only minutes or hours).

We will not attempt to describe the new features that will be implemented as part of the Upgrade. We will say that we are maintaining the same basic "look and feel", but with many exciting new features. We are also expecting a new forum . . . a nice suprise / gift for our readers.

We will not require Profiles / Sign-In / Log-In for the upgraded Forums, but there will be some special features available to thsoe who have created their Profiles. So if you want to be able to take full advantage of the new Forums, you should create your profile now. All existing Profiles will be transferred, as part of the upgrade.

Please post a message or write to me with any questions about the upgrade.

Thanks,

Jeff
