It is a standard Seamaster Professional with a unique dial, a raised number 18k WG bezel insert, and engraving on the back and side. It's exclusivity is limited to 10,000 pieces. This doesn't necessarily mean it's rare, it means the production is limited and and they won't make any more. Which parts bin would the raised number 18k WG bezel be from? Or America's Cup on the Dial? Or all that case engraving, including a unique limited edition number for each watch? It's fine if you just don't like the watch, I will agree, it's not for everyone. But I think you can be a little more intelligent in your choice of phrases.
I too would love to have the ProPlof and don't suggest that Andrew sell the one he has. If he is considering the purchase only because he thinks it might have additional value due to it's ownership history, I wouldn't advise he buy it. If he really likes the watch and can get a good deal on it, I suggest he find some other way of funding it.
