Our reasons are varied, of course.
So are our watches . . . my co-moderators, Steve W. and Keith D. both favor vintage chronographs, as does our esteemed leader, Jeff Stein. And of course, saying 'Chuck Maddox' and chronographs was almost a redundancy.
The questions today are:
1) Why vintage?
2) What was the last vintage you wore?
3) And if not Omega, what was the last vintage Omega you wore?
4) If you don't have a vintage watch at all, which of your watches will be treasured by collectors 20 years from now?
MY ANSWERS:
1) I've always enjoyed the variety of designs and technology and the changes watches have gone through over time.
2) I wore this yesterday, to visit a clockmaker who dabbles in watches as well -- from the 1950s and before.
3) My last vintage Omega was earlier in the week.
