I visited Greg earlier today, at Tourneau, and he showed me this Speedmaster. Pretty cool looking, if you want to see just how black a dial can look (and how it makes the other Speedy dials look like a dull gray or charcoal).
I am wondering how it might fit into your collection? I am sure that it would easily fit into the budget!!
If you like black enamel dials, then maybe you "need" this one!! Have you seen it? Any reactions to share? I saw discussions another forum about whether this is the next "Grail". Is it bad when companies are seeking to produce the "Grails"?
So many questions / so little time!!

: Many of us at Chronocentric, while we enjoy and own new watches,
: are more vintage than not.
: Our reasons are varied, of course.
: So are our watches . . . my co-moderators, Steve W. and Keith D.
: both favor vintage chronographs, as does our esteemed leader,
: Jeff Stein. And of course, saying 'Chuck Maddox' and
: chronographs was almost a redundancy.
: The questions today are:
: 1) Why vintage?
: 2) What was the last vintage you wore?
: 3) And if not Omega, what was the last vintage Omega you wore?
: 4) If you don't have a vintage watch at all, which of your watches
: will be treasured by collectors 20 years from now?
: MY ANSWERS:
: 1) I've always enjoyed the variety of designs and technology and
: the changes watches have gone through over time.
: 2) I wore this yesterday, to visit a clockmaker who dabbles in
: watches as well -- from the 1950s and before.
:
:
: 3) My last vintage Omega was earlier in the week.
:
:
: A quartz chronograph, I feel compelled to post the mechanical worn
: prior to that
:
:
: 4) Just to cover all the bases, here is the modern Omega I think
: will be a classic in twenty years, coveted by collectors:
:
:
: The "Great White"
