: New to Omega and watches in general. Looks like Omega has updated
: the 300m to the co-axial movement. Should I be concerned that my
: 1120 movement is out of date or less desirable than the 2500
: co-axial. Also, does the new 300m (w/co-axial) have AR on both
: sides of the saphire or just underneath. It seems that just
: underneath is more desired b/c the coating can scratch and while
: the sphire is safe the aethetics of the dial are not if the
: coating scratches on the outside. Does anyone have thoughts on
: these two topics? thxs.

The 1120 movement is "out of date" in the same way that every other movement on the market today is, compared to the 2500. In other words, if it is out of date, it has a lot of company. The co-axial escapement is a significant improvement in the 2500, which makes it "more desireable", but does not obsolete all other movements.

There was no change in the AR coating on the 300m compared to previous models.
