Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum, and appreciate any advice that any of you can give me. Let me start from the beginning, on Thursday I went to my Omega AD and went in planning to purchase the Planet Ocean big size 2200.51.

Unfortunately the dealer only had the model with the orange around the bezel 2208.50, but he did have the model with the face that I want but with the rubber strap 2900.51. I asked him if it would be possible to switch the strap off the orange model and put it on the face of the rubber model, therefore creating model 2200.51 (Funny trying to describe this lol). Anyway, I now have realized that the reference number on my warranty cards will likely be the the numbers for the rubber band watch (2900.51), while I infact have a watch matching number 2200.51. My question is whether this will effect resale value or warranty issues. I guess it's the same as if I bought the one with the rubber strap and switched it down the line for a metal strap. If I was to resell this would a buyer be hesitent since the reference number does not match the watch's bracelet, but the serial number does match. I know I'm being anal, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and these minor things tend to bother me sometimes. Also would not having the original strap or the strap that matches the ref's number decrease the value of the watch now or over time? I appreciate any feedback , and thanks in advance for any help. Ps. the watch is being mailed out to nyc in order to avoid sales tax (bought it at jay roberts in new jersey), I also would have the option of returning it and ordering a new one, but that would take explaining everything to the AD and performing a return etc. Thanks so much.
