A not so well disguised attempt to marginalize Omega

By comparing the 1120 to the 3135 and then backslapping the 2500 and 8500, he did a very good job of criticizing the technological advances by Omega by starting with the 1120 then blatantly outlining what he considers to be Omega copying Rolex and reducing efficiencies, ie taking a step backward, by reducing the beat rate, and completely downplaying the coaxial as an "advancement". Basically, its pretty, but not on Par with the Rolex 3135.

All I can say is that "Mr Rolex" surely sees the writing on the wall as his beloved brand is now going to be all out assaulted by a technically superior product with better accuracy, longer power reserve, ,longer service intervals and a cheaper price, hopefully :). At this point, the only thing he can "imprint" into peoples minds is that a slower beat rate equates to an inferior product, period, end of story. All it takes is for a few kool aid drinkers to read this and form their own "opinions". No doubt there were high 5s and rounds on the house in Rolex ville. Already one commenter was worried after reading this if he should be concerned about buying the PO. This is what happens when self proclaimed experts issue an opinion that is stretching reality.
